Projects
North Media A/S – Double Materiality Assessment (2023)
North Media A/S (formerly Søndagsavisen) owns several businesses, with FK Distribution being the primary one. FK Distribution manages the direct distribution of advertisements to households across Denmark.
We worked with North Media to prepare for the CSRD reporting on material sustainability matters. We assisted the client with the identification of preliminary Impacts, Risks and Opportunities (IRO’s), assessing the materiality and determining the applicable disclosure requirements and metrics. Subsequently, we performed the gap analysis and in-sourced resources working with the sustainability and accounting teams preparing for sustainability reporting.
The work was built around two 1-day workshops where the relevant environmental/climate and social/governance IRO’s were assessed. The materiality was determined by applying Primdal ESG’s DMA Tool. The assumptions, discussions and decisions of the two workshops were logged and described in a Background report. The Primdal ESG DMA Tool and the documents DMA Methodology Report, Background Report and DMA Result Report comprised the main DMA documentation package.
“Primdal ESG provided present and relevant support at eye level in navigating our Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) journey. Their expertise facilitated North Media’s initial double materiality assessment employing a pragmatic and methodical approach which bolstered our organizational preparedness and proficiency significantly for addressing and reporting sustainability matters in line with the CSRD. Throughout the engagement, Primdal ESG demonstrated honesty and transparency, fostering a conducive environment for practical, hands-on, and equitable work with sustainability.” – Ask Jessen, Chief Sustainability Officer, North Media A/S

Distriktstandvården – Climate accounting (2023)
In 2010, the Swedish public dental care services were privatized and formed the dental care company Distriktstandvården that now have more than 30 dental care clinics in the regions of Stockholm, Gothenburg and Uppsala.
We provided the client with training, applications and experience in preparing, performing and reporting climate accounting based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Standard.
The work was built around a 3-year accounting process, focusing on capacity building so that the client could gradually increase their internal capabilities, reducing the need for future external assistance in conducting climate accounting. The first year, we prepared and completed a one-day workshop, where Primdal ESG’s Climate Accounting Tool was populated with data collected prior to the workshop. The second year, we performed peer review of the data preparation and calculations. The third year, we instructed the client on how to update the emission factors in the tool.
