Confidential – Waste2Energy (2023)

The client is a Scandinavian Private Equity firm investing in mid-cap companies. The business model of the target company was centered around circular economy and had developed a global online platform for brokering waste streams to become resources for manufacturing clients in Europe.

We provided environmental due diligence advise on the business model of the target to understand if the business plan was aligned with existing and emerging EU environmentally sustainability regulatory frameworks.

Polaris Private Equity investing in Stronger (2021)

Polaris is a private equity firm that invests in Danish and Swedish mid-cap companies. The target company was a Swedish e-commerce enterprise specialising in women’s sports and recreational apparel. The company provides high-quality, expressive activewear for free-spirited individuals that transcends both fashion and sports.

We provided environmental due diligence advice focusing on the environmental aspects of the supply chain, products, and sourcing of natural and recycled materials. We benchmarked the company’s business model and products against internationally recognised standards and certification programs, including the BlueSign Approved standard, Global Recycled Standard, Recycled Claim Standard, and ISO 1833-18:2020 standard for Textile—Quantitative Chemical Analysis.

Insight Equity’s exit of Plasman (2021)

Plasman is a global manufacturing company that focuses on providing high-quality products, such as bumpers, grilles, and exterior trims, for the global automotive industry. The company has grown significantly since it was founded in Canada in 1978. In 2021, the then-owner, Insight Equity, was seeking new investors to take the company to the next level of development.

We worked under contract with SLR Consulting who advised Insight Equity across the portfolio of Plasman.

We provided Environmental, Health & Safety due diligence advise related to the Plasman manufacturing plants in Gothenburg and Simrishamn, Sweden. The scope comprised a review of disclosed documents and readily available public records, site inspection, and interview with site representatives to provide an understanding of potential liabilities and compliance with applicable Swedish regulatory requirements.
