Projects
EIFO – Sustainable product benchmark (2023)
Denmark’s Export and Investment Fund (EIFO) was formed in 2023 as a merger of EKF Denmark’s Export Credit Agency, Denmark’s Sovereign Fund (Vækstfonden) and Denmark’s Green Investment Fund. EIFO continues to provide guarantees for financing of capital goods exports and continue to manage the mandate of Denmark’s Green Future Fund (mandate of DKK 24Bn), including investment in or financing of early-stage companies and venture/impact funds.
We provide the client with expertise and resources for evaluating potential investment in or financing of companies that develop circular business models, technology or products with a significantly more environmentally sustainable profile than those conventional technologies or products that can be replaced.
The work comprised a desk-top review of disclosed documents, research of documentation from academia and science, as well as interviews with relevant experts and the company, when feasible. The results were reported as a recommendation as to whether the project meets EIFO’s five assessment criteria which are aligned with the EU Taxonomy for environmentally sustainable economic activities.
